本书是书法家夏剑锋的手札日记，这是他日常自然的书写。书籍内容不是写唐诗宋词，不是写李白杜甫的心胸抱负，而是书写自己。只有自己的内容，才能达到语言节奏与书写节奏的契合。他将自己生活的交往，思考中有价值的部分书写记录下来。且不是那些生活琐碎，而是让文字反映内容，内容折射思想，思想的价值性才是他的追求。

This book is a handwritten journal by calligrapher Xia Jianfeng, capturing his natural, everyday writing. Rather than reciting the poems of Tang and Song dynasties or expounding on the aspirations of poets like Li Bai and Du Fu, this journal reflects Xia’s personal life. It is in the articulation of one’s own experiences that the harmony between the rhythm of language and the rhythm of calligraphy is achieved. He documents meaningful interactions and reflections from his life. Instead of dwelling on mundane details, he uses his words to convey substance, with the content reflecting his thoughts. Ultimately, it is the value of these thoughts that Xia pursues in his writing.

书籍用一根质朴的麻绳扎起，让人联想到古人“结绳记事”的智慧，这与书法家“书写记事”的意向不谋而合。对折的书籍结构，灵感源于中国文人捆扎一刀书法用纸——宣纸的样子，令读者自然联想到书法作品集的属性。书口处层层递进的撕边以及印刷的书名“悔琴居”书法字，让平面的书法有了立体的解读。整体设计语言质朴，极具东方韵味。这些不露声色的设计是对书法家日常书写最恰当的诠释。

Bound with a simple hemp rope, the book evokes the ancient practice of tying knots to record events, which harmoniously aligns with the calligrapher’s intention of writing to record. Its folded structure is inspired by the way Chinese scholars traditionally bundle stacks of calligraphy paper, specifically Xuan paper, instantly connoting a sense of calligraphy collection. The progressively frayed edges along the spine and the printed calligraphic title “悔琴居” (Huiqin Chamber) add a tactile dimension to the flat pages, inviting a three-dimensional interpretation of the art form. The overall design language is unadorned yet imbued with profound oriental charm, subtly capturing the essence of the calligrapher’s everyday practice.

我想这是一本可以让所有人都慢下来的书。作者随心而发，我们随性而做，读者随意而读，自然而不造作，自由而轻松。
